Ferguson II

On Monday November 24th 2014 in the US, the grand jury of St Louis County said it would not charge Darren Wilson with a crime. Wilson is the White police officer who gunned down Michael Brown in broad daylight and let his body lie there in the street for four hours. Brown was 18 and unarmed. This was in Ferguson, Missouri, a mostly Black township in suburban St Louis. Nights of violence between police and protesters followed and 108 days of protest.

Video Emerges of Darren Wilson On Day He Arrested a Man For Recording On His Own Front Lawn

Mike Arman was bothering no one on the afternoon of October 28, 2013 when Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson showed up to his home uninvited. Wilson later said his reason for the intrusion was that he noticed there were unused vehicles on Arman’s property. When Arman, for his own safety, began to film the interaction on his cell phone, Darren Wilson responded by threatening Arman. In Wilson’s words, “If you wanna take a picture of me one more time, I’m gonna lock your ass up.” “Do I not have the right to record?” asked Arman, knowing full well it is perfectly legal to record police, especially when the officer is standing on a citizen’s own property. But Wilson responded, “No, you don’t.”

Witnesses: Brown put his hands up

(CNN) — Two men, shocked at what they saw, describe an unarmed teenager with his hands up in the air as he’s gunned down by a police officer.

They were contractors doing construction work in Ferguson, Missouri, on the day Michael Brown was killed.

And the men, who asked not to be identified after CNN contacted them, said they were about 50 feet away from Officer Darren Wilson when he opened fire.

An exclusive cell phone video captures their reactions during the moments just after the shooting.
“He had his f**n hands up,” one of the men says in the video.

Darren Wilson’s supporters

Darren Wilson has raised nearly $400,000 so far on GoFundMe.com. Compare that to Michael Brown’s family’s $250,000 – or George Zimmerman’s $200,000. Wilson is the White American police officer who gunned down Michael Brown, a Black teenager in Ferguson, Missouri.
