Off-Duty Cop Acquitted for Drunkenly Pulling Over an Innocent Man and Shooting Him

 

Louisville, KY– The jury reached their verdict on Thursday evening in the case of former Louisville officer Chauncey Carthan, who pulled over and shot a man while under the influence and off duty.
The former detective was acquitted on the charges of wanton endangerment and official misconduct, the charges relating to the actual shooting of Ishmael Gough, but was found guilty of driving under the influence.

James Ashby was arrested on Nov 14., and fired that day for the killing of 27-year-old Jack Jacquez on October 12.

Albuquerque Cop Shoots First, Asks Questions Later. Turns Out the Person He Shot Was a Cop

 

Albuquerque, NM– Albuquerque Police Department’s five months without a shooting has come to an end as an Albuquerque police officer remains in critical condition after being shot by a fellow officer on Friday.
The unnamed officer was shot while undercover during a drug operation to bust two men for $60 worth of meth.  Another officer sustained minor injuries, but information on how has not been released.

Tamir Rice’s Autopsy Brings Home Life and Death

 

Tamir Rice is the 12 year old who was shot and killed in Ohio by a cop who fired his gun in less than 2 seconds of arriving on scene.
A man had called 911 and told dispatch that a guy was in the park who might be a juvenile had a gun that might have been fake, but it was making him nervous.  Dispatch put out the call without saying it could be a juvenile and could be a toy gun.
Tamir did not die right away.  Reports have it that the EMT’s arrived about 4 minutes after Tamir was shot.  He was taken to the hospital where he died the next day.

Attorney Benjamin Crump, who is representing Tamir’s parents however, says that there is probable cause to file a charge and take the case to a jury.
Crump has also stated:
“If police officers are ill-equipped to deal with children playing on the playground with toy guns, then we might have to consider outlawing all toy guns because this scenario cannot happen again in America.”

Law enforcement officials told reporters that Chaney had complied with the deputies’ commands, but that Bartee had “extensive furtive movements,” causing McCarthy to fear for his safety and open fire.
One witness questioned why shots had been fired, saying both of the alleged suspects had been complying with the commands.

 

 

“You could see right in the car. Both of them had their hands up and they still shot at the car,” Ernest Miles Jr., told WKMG, adding that he had to take cover in his second-floor apartment.
