Tough economic times aren’t just hard on the wallet, they’re hard on race relations, too, a new study suggests.

One of the statements in the experiment: “When Blacks make economic gains, Whites lose out economically”

 

The experiment indicates to me that when times are tough people become more xenophobic and less logical.

 

People who are against immigration also have views about loosing out economically, not realizing the fact that a larger population leads to economic gains for all.

Border agency ousts head of internal affairs, will investigate unit

 

The head of internal affairs for U.S. Customs and Border Protection was removed from his post Monday amid criticism that he failed to investigate hundreds of allegations of abuse and use of force by armed border agents, officials said.

The Anniversary of the George Zimmerman Trial

 

This coming Tuesday will be a year since several hundred potential jurors appeared for jury selection for the 2nd degree murder trial of George Zimmerman.  The process continued to actual selection and trial.  On July 13, 2013, 6 women acquitted Zimmerman for killing unarmed 17-year old Trayvon Martin.
