Appalling Video Shows Cowardly Cop Taser a Non-Violent 74-Year-old Man, Leading to His Death

Deming, NM — 74-year-old Roger Charlet recently died in a hospital just a week after police used a taser on him during a traffic stop. On January 4th, Charlet was pulled over by police on Interstate 10 and was accused of being drunk. He was quickly ripped from his car and tased without being given any chance to comply and leave willingly. Police claim that he was “resisting arrest,” however, the video clearly shows that he was not a threat and had no chance of getting away.

Andy Lopez’ family can proceed with lawsuit against Sonoma County sheriff’s deputy, judge rules

The family of 13-year-old Andy Lopez, who was shot and killed by a Sonoma County sheriff’s deputy in 2013 while carrying an airsoft BB gun, can take their wrongful death lawsuit to trial, a federal judge ruled Wednesday.

Sheriff Exposed as Liar by Fellow Cop in the Shooting of an Unarmed Down Syndrome Child

Palm Beach County, FL — A Florida sheriff has been exposed in a recent lawsuit for lying about one of his deputies who shot six times at an unarmed teenager.  The victim, Jeremy Hutton is a 17-year-old boy with Down Syndrome, who nearly lost his life after he was hit with three of those six rounds.

U.S. Undermining Due Process Protections for Asylum Seekers

Even before the recent ICE raids on Central American families began last week, there were serious signs that the government was undermining due process and not providing asylum-seekers a meaningful opportunity to make their cases. Many of the violations were brought to the attention of the immigration agencies by the CARA Project and Human Rights First, through a formal letter to the Directors of USCIS and ICE, which called upon the Department of Homeland Security to halt the egregious due process violations taking place inside family detention centers in Texas and Pennsylvania.
