White Supremacy Real Or Imagined
I have asked myself this question since I lived through and felt the indignity of Jim Crow. How can the minority people of the world have so much control over every other culture on the planet? I had to explain to my grandson, when he asked me why black people are called “minority.” He went on to say, he did a Goggle Search and found that white people are, and he said, “in fact are the minority people of the world!” When I was twelve, I had no idea this was a fact nor ever thought about it. Nonetheless, I told him it was because of White Supremacy.
His next question was – what does that mean?

Dr. Martin Luther Kings called it the ‘doctrine of white supremacy’.
When using the word phrase ‘white supremacy’, I add the word ‘doctrine’ to the front to be clear that it’s a way of thinking.
I also like to remind people that Black people created White people, and Black people created all people.

According to reports, a Molotov cocktail was thrown through the office window of Rep. Emanuel Cleaver’s (D-Mo.) Thursday morning. The Hill has the story:
The Kansas City Police and Kansas City Bomb and Arson Squad responded to the scene and completed an initial survey. No one was in the office when the object or objects were thrown. The cocktail did not explode, according to local reports.
Congressional Black Caucus Chairwoman Marcia Fudge (Ohio) asked for a speedy investigation and said the people responsible need to be punished to the “fullest extent of the law.”
“The Congressional Black Caucus strongly condemns this type of vandalism targeted at Congressman Cleaver, and denounces any act of violence towards Members of Congress,” she said in a statement. “This type of abhorrent behavior is the most ineffective means of voicing discontent or disagreement.”
Cleaver is currently in Washington and all of his offices are…

Gawker Uncovers Trove NYPD Horror Stories
Media outlet Gawker is currently running an ongoing series documenting horror stories of reader run-ins with the NYPD. With “NYPD Harassment Stories,” writer Jason Parham is attempting to shed light on some of the department’s under-reported incidents of brutality.
“Police brutality, which we believe should be treated as a national crisis, is not limited to streets of New York or Los Angeles,” writes Parham. “But examining the actions of the country’s largest and most famous police force, and giving a voice to the victims of its violence, is a start.”
Here’s one reader’s story:
The incident happened about 2 years ago to my husband. My husband is a Dominican of dark complexion. He was exiting the 4 train in the Bronx after a long day of work, at the time he was working security. He saw some one he knew being stopped by the cops made eye contact with the police and kept it…
