As a writer, I regularly find it necessary to create new words and occasionally to redefine existing ones. I have done this in my academic writing, creative writing, and online writing. I believe w…
I like these examples about paying attention to the suffix of words.
“people are not “poor” – they are classed or classized as poor”
and
People are not slaves – they are enslaved.
Saying that people are slaves puts the burden on the enslaved, as if they have a choice in the matter. Saying they are enslaved puts the burden on the enslaver, saying that they have a choice to not enslave.

Shame is an unspoken epidemic, the secret behind many forms of broken behavior. Brené Brown, whose earlier talk on vulnerability became a viral hit, explores what can happen when people confront their shame head-on.

“If someone has done something, or done something to you that in your book is unforgivable, then you don’t jolly well have to forgive them.”
“…don’t be the one rendering forgiveness on stuff that you find unforgivable”

“The power of these small groups lie in the fact that they represent the largest, most well-organized, unified and reliable minority of voters. This reactionary minority may not be big enough to win national elections anymore, but they are just large enough to swing local ones and that’s enough to wield powerful influence.

Those of us who believe in pluralism and democracy must understand the power of thinking small and take action.

if any of the 5 persuasion techniques goes wrong, the others won’t be of much use -Deepak Chopra
In human rights work, a constant goal is to convince people that people should have human human rights — regardless of their nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual preference, or physical and mental abilities.
It’s not enough to tell ourselves that “this is common sense”. People need to be reminded to not be prejudice and laws need to be fixed to protect and empower people.

Dr. Drew explains the differences in regards to Casey Anthony.
Do you know any people who fit into these categories?
A lot of men seem to have a predisposition to use violence to “solve” problems.
Many men lean toward sociopathic behavior. Isn’t it men who invented chemical weapons, nuclear bombs, napalm (sticky fire), machine guns.
What kind of person in their right mind would invent that stuff?
