Join us Saturday 12/13 at 2pm at Old Courthouse Square. We’ll make the short trek to the Santa Rosa Plaza where we will participate in a die in inside the mall in solidarity with Ferguson. After that we will regroup and decide together (on the spot to neutralize police interference) where to march, and YES, we will march. Please invite everybody you can to come! Let’s do this!

Protesters, later on Sunday, tried to block Itaska Street where Begic was killed. On Monday 300 showed up, saying “Bosnian lives matter”. The police, in both cases, did not show up in riot gear with attack dogs. Instead they talked to protesters as if they were human beings, taking their concerns seriously. It can be done.

Eric Garner’s children are asking the good cops to speak out about the abusive cops.

In addition to good cops speaking out about the abusive cops, I’m asking all White people – if you see a cop interacting with anyone, especially a Black or Latino person – PLEASE get your body over there and calm down any abusive situation you see.

 

A cop is more reluctant to hit, choke, or shoot a White person, so if the situation calls for it PUT YOUR BODY BETWEEN THE OFFICER AND THE BLACK, OR LATINO PERSON.

 

If you know history, and you watch the news, you know that unarmed Black and Latino men are being murdered by our police force.

 

To stop the violence White people MUST ACT.
