Some people have a skill for finding ways to justify their insanity.
Here are six things that people like Michael Dunn do to get themselves into trouble and to justify their racist behavior.

Many are asking why the Judge in whose courtroom this vicious attack took place simply watched with indifference as a helpless inmate was beaten before her very eyes.
This is the sick racist system of the U.S.
The judge doesn’t want to get on the bad side of the cops so he allows the man to be humiliated, rammed into a post and yelled at right in front of him and he doesn’t say a mumbling word to stop it.

The most amazing feature of our era is the belief that 300 years of racist policy gives no tell on our daily lives. The second is the belief that juries are somehow beyond reproach.
This is about whether we will live in candor or live in flattery. This is about whether we will continue the dishonorable tradition of leaving uncomfortable business to be inherited by our children…
A very wise man wrote me the other day and said he would have been happier if Dunn had been convicted of first-degree murder, gotten 15 years, and then was released to try to pick up the pieces of his life. And I think that really gets to the point. This is not about the ruination of white people—individual or collective. This is about coping with a heritage of regarding black people as subhuman.”

“… Although Dunn did face some consequences for his behavior and the case was so egregious, the jury still struggled with the notion that Dunn was guilty. Apparently by merely raising the suggestion that Jordan Davis could have had a gun, even though no gun was found, Dunn’s attorneys were able to plant the seed of doubt in the jury. A white guy who shoots black teenagers should be given the benefit of the doubt, the jury apparently reasoned. Even if the shooter fails to contact the police after murdering a black youth and instead orders pizza…”

“Twelve jurors have found Michael Dunn guilty of 2nd degree attempted murder upon the lives of Tevin Thompson, Leland Brunson, and Tommie Stornes. Each count carries a minimum sentence of 20 years to a maximum of 30 years. Sentencing can run concurrently or consecutively. Some familiar with Judge Healey are of the opinion that he is unlikely to enter concurrent sentences. That means that Dunn is looking at a minimum of 60 years in prison on the 2nd degree attempted murder convictions.
The jury also found Dunn guilty of shooting a firearm into the vehicle, the sentence of which is a minimum of 15 years.”

In the video below you will see Michael Dunn’s cooked up story that he had all night to think about.
Dunn did not call 911 after the shooting.
He went to his hotel with his fiance, ordered pizza for his distraught fiance and he let the dog out to go potty.
You will hear Dunn say that Jordan Davis had a shotgun, or a stick.
Jordan Davis had a cell phone.
Hat tip to BlackButterfly7 for the link to the letters.
Michael Dunn is the man who murdered 17 year old Jordan Davis by shooting him three times through the back door of a red Durango.
The altercation started over loud music, which was turned down. Then Jordan Davis said ‘fuck you’ to Mr. Dunn.
Mr. Dunn reached into his glove box, cocked back his handgun and immediately started firing. In all, Mr. Dunn put nine bullet holes into the Durango.
Three bullets stopped inside the front door panel. One bullet shot into the back of the Durango hit the driver’s sun visor and then the inside of the windshield.
In the first letter from Dunn to Rhonda:
On page 2 he says
“The more time I am exposed to these people, the more prejudiced against them I become.”
…
“I sure am looking forward to moving out of the South and away from the scourge of this country.”
Mr. Dunn’s middle name is David. That’s why the letter is signed “Michael David”.
