- Demean other people’s culture
Michael Dunn’s first response to hearing hip-hop music at the gas station was to say “I hate that rap crap.” - Use their privilege to hassle those with different cultures or lifestyles
Michael Dunn could have parked away from the music. Instead he parked next to the music and used his able bodied, white privilege to confront the teens, asking them to turn down the volume. - Blame the victim
Michael Dunn, after shooting three bullets into Jordan Davis and 6 more bullets into the Durango then tells his fiance that he was the victim. - Don’t learn about the failings and oppressiveness of White culture. Always feel superior.
If Michael Dunn had ever taken an African American history class, he might know that White people have been pushing Black people around since the first enslaved Africans were human trafficked to the Americas in 1526. - See phantom weapons. Cell phones and wallets as guns.
If Michael Dunn would have studied implicit bias, or systemic racism – he may have known that he should second guess his own fears and biases and not jump to conclusions. - Acting as if in a war zone
If Michael Dunn was level headed, he would only show his gun to scare away what he perceived as a threat. Apparently he thought he was in a war zone. He shot first and asked questions later.

Michael Dunn Guilty of 3 Counts of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder
“Twelve jurors have found Michael Dunn guilty of 2nd degree attempted murder upon the lives of Tevin Thompson, Leland Brunson, and Tommie Stornes. Each count carries a minimum sentence of 20 years to a maximum of 30 years. Sentencing can run concurrently or consecutively. Some familiar with Judge Healey are of the opinion that he is unlikely to enter concurrent sentences. That means that Dunn is looking at a minimum of 60 years in prison on the 2nd degree attempted murder convictions.
The jury also found Dunn guilty of shooting a firearm into the vehicle, the sentence of which is a minimum of 15 years.”

Michael Dunn is the man who murdered 17 year old Jordan Davis by shooting him three times through the back door of a red Durango.
The altercation started over loud music, which was turned down. Then Jordan Davis said ‘fuck you’ to Mr. Dunn.
Mr. Dunn reached into his glove box, cocked back his handgun and immediately started firing. In all, Mr. Dunn put nine bullet holes into the Durango.
Three bullets stopped inside the front door panel. One bullet shot into the back of the Durango hit the driver’s sun visor and then the inside of the windshield.
In the first letter from Dunn to Rhonda:
On page 2 he says
“The more time I am exposed to these people, the more prejudiced against them I become.”
…
“I sure am looking forward to moving out of the South and away from the scourge of this country.”
Mr. Dunn’s middle name is David. That’s why the letter is signed “Michael David”.
